![]() I've stayed here several times in the past and I like that it is a smoke free hotel and truly doesn't smell like smoke. Let me start by saying this is my favorite hotel as far as the design and creativity of it. I do not recommend this place, at least until they get some more competent, professional, helpful staff working the front desk! ![]() This is not how you want to be treated when you're checking in to your room. And lo and behold there was our reservation. The manager asked to check the spam folder. When she called her manager she told her that she was getting "yelled at" but we were actually pretty patient, considering. We pointed out that they used living social to sell their rooms, and her answer was "well, I've never heard of them and I've been working here for 6 years." Seriously? So we insisted she call a manager. She said sorry, we should have booked our room through them, not through living social. She expected us to pay for a new reservation and refused to check us in for the night and let us resolve the voucher issue the next day when living social would be open again. But I tried calling, and living social was closed because it was after 8pm EST. Even though I had my voucher on my phone. She asked us to call living social and tell them they never sent the voucher to the hotel. We had a living social voucher for this place and when we tried to check in Lindsay at the desk said she had no record of our reservation, never heard of living social, sorry. The service, on the other hand, was horrific. The rooms are ok, clean but not as nice as they could be. This place has an old school cheezeball vampire vibe which is actually really fun and weird. The Artisan has a reputation for being a sexy place to go for drinks or swimming or both, so we thought we'd try staying there.
